Terms & cancellation.

Plain language, because you should be able to read this in three minutes and know exactly where you stand.

What you are booking

A sound journey is sixty minutes, one to one, online or in person in Rabat. A private concert is forty-five minutes, online. Both are built around live voice and acoustic instruments. Sessions run in English, French or Darija — say which when you book.

What this is not

Sound work is not medicine, not psychotherapy, and not a substitute for care from someone qualified to give it. Nothing here diagnoses or treats a medical or psychological condition. If you are in treatment for something, keep going; this sits alongside that, not instead of it.

If you have a condition affected by sound or vibration — epilepsy, a recent ear injury, tinnitus, or anything you are unsure about — tell me before we begin, or ask your doctor first.

Booking and payment

Sessions are booked and paid for through the calendar on the booking page. Payment is taken in full at the time of booking, in US dollars, through PayPal. Your card details never reach me — PayPal handles the transaction and I only see that it completed.

The price is $126 per session. If the cost is real for you and you still want to come, write to me at listen@mariamdahbi.com and we will find a way.

Rescheduling and cancellation

• More than 24 hours before: reschedule or cancel yourself, from the link in your confirmation email. A cancellation is refunded in full.
• Inside 24 hours: write to me at listen@mariamdahbi.com. Things happen, and I would rather move a session than hold you to a bad hour. Repeated late cancellations are the only case where I would decline to refund.
• If you don't arrive and haven't been in touch, the session is not refunded.
• If I have to cancel — illness, or anything else — you choose a full refund or another time, whichever you prefer.

Refunds return by the same route the payment came, and usually take a few working days to appear.

Arriving late

The session ends at the time it was booked to end, so late arrival shortens it rather than pushing it back. If you are more than fifteen minutes late without word, I will treat it as a missed session.

Online sessions

You will need a quiet room, a stable connection, and headphones or good speakers. The audio matters more here than the video, and thin laptop speakers will cost you most of what the session is.

If the connection fails badly enough that the session cannot continue, we reschedule at no charge or I refund you.

In person

Sessions in Rabat take place at a private address, shared with you when you book. Bring nothing; wear comfortable clothes.

Recording

I do not record sessions, and nothing from a session is used anywhere without asking you first. Please don't record either without asking me.

Your information

Booking gives me your name, your email address, and whatever you write in the booking questions. Scheduling runs on Cal.com and payment on PayPal, and each holds its own record of the booking under its own privacy policy. I keep the booking details so I can hold the session and so my accounts are in order.

I don't sell your information, don't add you to a mailing list, and don't share anything you say in a session with anyone. Write to me if you want your details deleted and I will remove what I am not required to keep.

Age

Sessions are for adults. If you are under eighteen and would like to book, write to me first so we can arrange it with a parent or guardian.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Moroccan law. The Listening Room is the practice of Mariam Dahbi Zniber, registered in Morocco under the auto-entrepreneur regime.
